Do not let your vehicle idle for too long. Start driving immediately the engine is running. Long idling times causes sludge (mixture of soot, oil vapor , fuel vapor and water vapor) to deposit inside the top section of the engine . Driving a vehicle regularly increases the overall performance and longevity of the engine. A lot of repair and diagnostic problems are related to moving parts that are stuck due to lack of use. This applies to automatic transmissions, air conditioners, computer controlled valves and suspension systems to mention but a few.
