TITLE DESCRIPTION
1998 Toyota Avalon Fever
The ride was just behaving badly , and the Toyota 17 pin diagnostic port went on leave so wiring diagrams and analog tools( Hand vacuum pump and Digital Automotive tester) came to our rescue to locate the fault . Air-fuel ratio and MAP sensor failure

2001 BMW X5 4.4 blues
This vehicle had a host of problems , from a failed Electric coolant fan , to a misbehaving Air mass sensor , and a faulty torque converter , all traced with our Launch Box. We confirmed that this vehicle had a transmission recall which wasn?t fixed before it found its way to Africa

Abused 1997 Merc 230 E-class
This vehicle had been badly serviced since it was bought, The air cleaner unit looked like kitchen floor rag, Luckily the 38pin connector was alive and well and the problem was traced to a bad throttle control unit and damaged transmission solenoid.

If you ride on air don?t complain when the bubble bursts
This fresh-from-the-bakery 2006 and half ( built after June) S350 Mercedes fell from its Olympian heights when the front AirMatic unit failed. The owner could not believe it and kept repeating: ?This cant happen to a new Benz?, like a scratched record. Luckily the forty amp fuse that decide the fate of the suspension was traced via wiring diagram , fixed and the suspension pumped up to normal ride height via the dashboard controls.

Honda waHALLA
Honda waHALLA. This innocent civic had serious driveability problems, however it is fitted with a returnless fuel system meaning that some other controls are integral with the fuel pump unit . After the owner had replaced the fuel pump only a couple of times we still diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump housing as it was not able to retain pressure for long periods . This was replaced and the problem went away.

Wrecked Passat V6 4Motion.
Some times you wonder how people can drive a vehicle that the engine sounds like a thousand coins and at high speed , select the cheapest oils and refuse to perform proper service on the vehicle and finally blame the manufacturer for not building a strong car. We stopped wondering when we met this Passat. 4-Motion The Faults of this vehicle was engine deep . After thorough testing , we sent the Passat home since we just did not have the time for a major engine job.

Frustrated 2001 ISUZU RODEO 24 VALVE V6.
This car had the automobile equivalent of HIV ? AIDS. It was dying slowly , all the critical components were malfunctioning and virtually every mechanic sent it away to die in the owners garage. The ECU was condemned and was no where to be found . We tried to scan the vehicle and it wont let our OBD tool interrogate it . We tested , scratched our collective heads , swore , prayed and finally remembered we had a DSO ( Digital Storage Oscilloscope). The innocent looking and very alive alternator was randomly spiking between two and ten volts AC , which was the like sending missiles through the ECU . The alternator was fixed and the problems disappeared. The oscilloscope trace in the photo (blue) is the Rodeos Alternators A/C trace.

Finding a pin in a pin stack
Unlike most advanced countries where you enter the VIN number of the vehicle to get the parts, new or used . Try buying a radiator VW coolant fan switch with rating 95-102degrees in this well organized market.

The Trainees Dream Tools (1)
This is a dream tool is given as an encouragement for the first set of trainees. You can start making money with this tool after the full training program . Unlike most code readers that are practically useless in reading manufacturer specific data , this tool will scan from Audi to BMW to Subaru to Toyota to VW , up to thirty vehicles can be scanned for vehicle specific data . We have had cases where our expensive Launch X431 could not harvest data where this one did because of some wiring faults in the vehicle.

Small But Mighty Tool
This vacuum tester is the ultimate tool for performing the equivalent of an X-Ray photo of the inside of an engine. The moment you understand its use, you will be amazed at the power and functions. It can also be used to test boost pressure, vacuum switching valves, valve timing and ignition misfires

Trainees dream tool (2)
Not having this tool is like having an AK-47 assault rifle without the bullets. Put simply, you have nothing. There is no substitute for a high impedance Multi-meter when testing modern electronic circuits. It also has a thermocouple for temperature measurements , can be used for both PNP and NPN transistors as well as capacitance measurements
