Manpower Development The ability to develop a training program that will take care of providing adequate manpower has been a source of concern for some years. An engineering education does not necessarily equip one with enough practical experience to earn a living. Most graduate school leavers are at loss of what to do on graduation. Although dealers and manufacturers pretend that only their special diagnostic tools can be used on their vehicles , however , with sufficient information , generic diagnostic tools , proper training and technical support ( all of which we can provide ) , a dedicated graduate can gain mastery over most automobile subsystems in a very short time. However, just as having an IBM laptop computer can never turn anyone into a Programmer or a Hacker, No amount of fancy equipment or diagnostic tool is going to convert an incompetent person into a professional. There is even the tendency to pronounce wrong diagnosis because one is wielding a fancy tool in his hand and the customer really has no option but to believe the diagnosis. The main cause of the high cost of repair currently experienced by modern car owners is that behind the façade of those beautiful repair shops , there is very little technical competence. Diagnosis by part replacement is a very expensive option for the customer. This means that enough parts are replaced till the problem is solved and the customer is given a hefty bill to cover the incompetence. One must however admit that there are some instances where the dealer specific tools must be used. These instances are usually restricted to the area of vehicle adaptation. Ignition Key programming , Entertainment systems , Suspension systems to mention but a few . Even then there are the more expensive tools like the Launch X431 and other third party Key programmers that still do a good job. |
